Car shipping

All in all, I've always had bad luck with car shipping. Perhaps it's because every time I've done it, it's been during holidays (the first time, which I did with M2Reeves, was scheduled around Labor Day, which somehow made the car TWO WEEKS LATE in shipping. The second time, with Amerifreight, a few weeks before Christmas... again, it was roughly two weeks late in delivery). Or maybe it's because where I live is virtually in the middle of nowhere, so I've been told by the operators/carriers... but wait, it ISN'T in the middle of nowhere, really! It's a small town, but it's ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY, and thus it's at least ON THE WAY to somewhere!

I scheduled the car to be picked up BEFORE Dec 17th... they didn't pick it up until roughly the 7th of January. The Amerifrieght operators were nice and patient, sure. Yet after awhile, every time Aaron said, "oh yeah, carriers should be ringing in for your car right now!" I kind of heaved a sigh of doubt.

So yeah, I don't think I'll pursue car shipping again. I'll just drive cross-country if need be. Should be fun.

Holiday shipping can many times involve delays. AmeriFreight staff worked to get the customer's vehicle picked up before 12/17. When shipping your vehicle around the holiday season, be sure you have a very flexible time frame. If a flexible time frame is not an option for your situation at any time of the year, then we highly recommend shipping at one of our upgraded rates to insure expedited shipping.
