They came through

Actually, I'm reviewing my previous move (my brother bought a first car for my 18 year old son in AZ because we wanted a rust free used car at about 3K, not an easy task in Indiana), as I'm readying a second order. (My next youngest 16 year old is doing the same thing).

For the first order, I just chose Amerifreight because they were the least expensive. They actually had a potential within a day of the order, but I missed it because I didn't check my voice mails. The next call came like five days later, because we were on the economy shipping plan. The car came a week later, actually booked through a local freight company, so we ended up picking it up at a local dealer, which was actually easier than delivering it in our small street neighborhood. They stayed in touch a couple of times and did well when coordinating the driver to pickup and then to deliver. Very responsive, very professional.

Anyway, this time I decided to get the same alternate quotes I did last night and got verbal quoets of $800 and some "maybe" we could do it at $750. The reason I got was that the "snowbirds" were moving the wrong direction. (Not sure why there wouldn't be empty trucks going the other way, at least that was my question and they said it didn't work that way, hence the higher prices.) When I quoted Ameri Freight they were already below $700 plus they gave a repeat customer discount.

My next child is 13 so I doubt I'll be doing this again for a while (hope not anyway), but if Ameri Freight is still around, I'll certainly give them a call.
