Did not honor original price quote

I chose Amerifreight based partially on the reviews on this site. Their email quoted a total price of $895 to move my car from San Francisco, CA to Lexington, MA. On the telephone, they sold me $35 of extra insurance, which brought the total quoted price to $930. When my pickup was already a couple of days overdue, Jonathan called and said Amerifreight would have to raise my price to $970 "to get the delivery done." Under a tight deadline, I had no choice but to say "OK".

The car was picked up by Braz Transport Corp., and arrived in Massachusetts in good condition on the date the Braz diver, Marcelo, predicted.

I told Jonathan at Amerifreight I was unhappy with Amerifreight's price switch, and I would not use the company again.

The customer chose the Economy Rate. It is the lowest shipping rate we offer. As stated in our terms and as explained by each Shipping Agent, if a vehicle does not move after 5 business days at the Economy rate, AmeriFreight will add $50 of our money. If it still has not moved, the customer must be prepared to add money or wait. Since the customer was in a time sensitive situation, our Shipping Agent worked to get a carrier for the best rate for the time frame the customer needed. We apologize that the customer was unhappy with the service. Again, all of our terms are explained upfront on our website and in the order form the customer signed.
