i was quoted at 900 dollars from the start with and estimated pick up time between july 20th and july 24th. i waited patiently for a very long time, i even took the time to relocate my car to an easier area for the driver to pick it up at and im 3000 miles away from it. it wasnt until i offered to pay and extra 200 dollars and magically there was a driver the next day to pick it up. now on september 8 its finally in my driveway so from the time i first contacted amerifreight to the arrival date was around 75 days which is really unfortunate. they were pretty bad at contacting me and keeping me updated with things. in my opinion go directly to the company that hauls the car and deal with them directly cut out the middle man all together, the company that shipped it said they usually charge 200-300 less than what a logistics place would charge.

We are sorry to hear that Jeff was unsatisfied with his shipping experience. Jeff was very patient and easy to work with as we were working to secure a carrier for his vehicle. Jeff placed the order at the Economy Rate, which as in the terms states that if we are unable to secure a carrier within 5 business days, the customer has the choice to continue to wait or upgrade to Priority for the guaranteed 2 business day pickup. (View our terms at: http://www.amerifreight.net/quoteterms.htm) Jeff did not have a lot of time to wait. As Jeff stated, he first changed the pickup destination of the vehicle with hopes that this would help secure a carrier at the Economy rate. Unfortunately, we were still unable to secure a carrier from that city either. Since he had been incredibly patient and really didn't want to have to add the money if he didn't need to, AmeriFreight added our additional money to the COD to try to help secure a carrier. After still not securing a carrier, as in some customer's case, Jeff needed to upgrade to Priority to get the vehicle picked up quickly. This additional $200 for Priority goes straight to the driver at delivery, not to AmeriFreight. As Jeff stated, we are the middle man; however, there are important benefits by going through a brokerage, like AmeriFreight: 1) We are able to access and confirm the carrier's licensure, carrier authority, and insurance. How else will you know that the carrier you are shipping with is properly insured and licensed? 2) If you were to ever have any trouble between you and the actual carrier, we would be able to assist you to get your issue resolved. Jeff, we thank you for your patience and are glad to hear that you have your vehicle and in good condition.
