Brandon, from AmeriFreight, was a pleasure to work with. He was way more upfront and clear about what service he was providing and how it was being provided than another company that I had contacted. Communication was clear and professional from beginning to end. If I were leaving a review for the actual carrier, it would not be 5 stars. MET1 LLC was the carrier, and the driver they sent was hard to deal with. He arrived a day earlier than originally planned, which turned out ok, but if I wasn't available that day, the pickup would have been cancelled, and I would have had to reschedule flights and all kinds of additional chaos would have ensued. The pickup was a disaster. The driver couldn't get close to the pickup point, and when I gave him the address of a car dealership nearby (which was closed for the night, but the gate was open), for some reason, he didn't pull in there, but instead found his way to some back street which wasn't much different from the streets near the pickup point. After waiting about 3 hours for him, we finally got the car on the truck, my phone battery was gone at that point, and my son and I had to walk back home a mile in the dark at almost midnight on roads with no sidewalk or shoulder. I know it was only 3 hours wasted, but my dad was dying (luckily he died the following night and not that night) and my mom has dementia, and I needed those 3 hours to focus my time and energy on them, and not the unprofessional driver who was wasting my time, so maybe it's just me who deserves a crappy review for not being more accommodating. I'm sorry to the driver for lobbing F-bombs that night. I just couldn't contain myself. The car arrived in WA safely. I didn't receive a receipt or invoice for the transport, but Brandon helped me out with that when I asked him for it. I hope this review steers someone toward Brandon at AmeriFreight and maybe away from MET1 LLC. My brother did have a worse experience with a carrier who said they would pick up his car (not sure how that was supposed to work without someone being there) but never did and lied to him about it being picked up, so it could've been worse. Maybe we both should've asked more questions about the carrier before we contracted with them. Just be careful.
