Wife working in WY (we're from NJ) went to Steamboat Springs- 2hours south- broke down. Range rover was worked on cost a lot of money, they kept finding issues so I suspected foul play and was going to have someone transport the truck back home to my mechanic. I received lost of offers- most were high, decided I would drive there- 2,000 miles or so 1 way. was going to cost about 800 round trip. so back to the transport. I had many companies contact me, I new they were low balling and 99% sure no way they could transport at those rates- since 1 way for me with regular gas and tolls would be 4-$450. Ended up paying just shy 1700 from Steamboat to NJ- not a common roadway fro car carriers. Took a few days to get a carrier. Seems you cannot get the car carrier directly, at least that's what I came to the conclusion. Anyways, Jackie at Amerifreight was very sweet and got me connected to a carrier. There were 3 others trying to connect me at the same time and none came through or if they did the prices were higher. Thank-You
