I recently shipped my van from FL to CO. The overall process was fairly smooth. Everything was explained well by my assigned consultant, Cosmo. There were a few minor hiccups (slow offer process - no offers until a day before my first available date; no contact with the driver until ~ 2 hours before drop off) so I would like to rate this a 4 or 4.5, but I ended up getting a really solid deal on shipping enclosed.
If you are considering shipping a vehicle just plan on a higher number than the quoted estimate. That is just a starting point for negotiation, and it will likely rise unless your shipment plan is aligned with major shipment corridors. I ended up paying about $900 more than anticipated, which is not insignificant. I requested an open carrier, but landed on an enclosed transport, which at least provided good value for the higher cost.
