Dispatch is great, but communication from drivers is lacking

My experience with Amerifreight was mostly positive, but communication from drivers could use improvement. Gina in dispatch was great to work with, she went above and beyond explaining the process to me. There's a lot to like about Amerifreight, such as the agents working in their dispatch, and also the ability to pay partially or fully with a credit card. We chose a day to have the car picked up, but there was a question of the weather (there were huge lake effect snow storms directly along the route). It took me awhile to actually get ahold of the person who was the driver listed in the confirmation email. I messaged that person, and I guess he wasn't the actual driver, this person passed me off to another person. There was no communication from this person when they had picked my car up, even though I was texting back and forth, and asked if he would please let me know when the car had been picked up. In the end, the person who actually showed up in my driveway was a 3rd person whom I didn't know the name of, had never communicated with, and this person didn't speak English very well. I'm not begrudging someone for not knowing a language, but it's kind of important here. Because of the language barrier, it was a bit difficult to talk to this driver and explain where the drop-off point was located. Also, the 2nd person never communicated with me that the shipment was being handed off to someone else. I think as a customer, these are all things I should know. I want to close by saying I realize that Amerifreight is just a broker/dispatch and they likely don't have control over the process once a driver agrees to take up the shipment, but this review is about my entire shipping experience. Because of the lack of driver communication, I need to deduct one star.
