This was my first time having my car shipped. I did my research on how the car shipping process works, compared different companies, etc.. However, I was still definitely nervous. Overall, I spoke with AmeriFreight 3 times: 1) Initial questions before placing order. 2) Confirmation of Order. 3) When Carrier was found. I was not in a rush to have my car shipped so I placed the order at an Economy Rate of $770 ( including deposit). I carrier was not found until 16 days later. The carrier was Superb Auto Trans. They requested an extra $80. So, total cost was $850, but AmeriFreight did immediately refund $50 for not finding a Carrier within 5 business days. It took 9 days to receive my car because the Carrier didn't drive out until Saturday. There is a more detailed time line at the bottom

OVERALL: I was satisfied with AmeriFreight. Johnathan, Lesley, and Rachel were very informative, patient, and helpful. They answered all questions I had. I was very happy with the Carrier (Superb Auto Trans). My car came in one piece and the same as when it was picked up. There wasn't even a mile difference from moving. The process was abrupt ( when the carrier was found), but it went smoothly. I would use AmeriFreight again.

6/26/09 (Friday)
I contacted AmeriFreight with questions and I placed my order online at economy rate of $770.

I was supposed to receive a call within 12 hours for confirmation of the order. Considering, that the order was placed Friday, I waited until the next business day, but no call or email.

7/1/09 (Wednesday)
I contacted AmeriFreight and I was told that the Sales agents, who was suppose to contact me was out. I was transferred to Rachel and she was very informative and helpful. She explained everything to me and answers all the questions I had.

7/6/09 (Monday)
I received an email with notice that it was the 5th business day and because they have not found a carrier, $50 was added.

7/14/09 (Wednesday)
I received a voicemail from Lesley that there was a Carrier in the area and they wanted to pick up my vehicle as soon as possible. I called Lesley back and left her a message. She contacted me back within an hour and explained to me all the details. The carrier requested and extra $80. I also spoke to Johnathan who was very helpful and patient in explaining all the numbers with me to make sure we had things right. I agreed because I did not want to wait any longer to for another carrier. Everything was done abruptly and fast. My car was picked up the same day within an hour after Lesley confirmed everything on both ends and sent me an email with dispatch sheet. The carrier was Superb Auto Trans.

I was on the receiving end so immediately contacted the dispatcher and they let me know that they were on the way.
AmeriFreight immediately refunded $50 from the deposit because of my car was not shipped within 5 business days.

7/21/09 (Tuesday)
I received a call from the driver (Don) about his location and when i can expect him, which was either Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. He said it was more likely that it was Thursday morning.

7/22/09 (Wednesday)
I received another call from the driver with a more accurate estimate of when I should expect him. The time frame was 8:00am-10:00am thurday morning.

7/23/09 (Thurday)
The driver called me to let me know that he would arrive in 45 minutes. I lived in an apartment complex and he was concerned about where he would be able to park his truck because there might not be enough space. He said there was a possibility that I might have to meet him at a Home Depot's park lot. However, the is a shoulder lane for trucks to pullover on the side of road in front of my apartment complex and it was not an issue. He arrived at 9:00AM.
Don was very was friendly and nice. He seemed to be very experience and know what he was doing. My car was take down from the carrier. I inspected it and my car came in one piece.
