AmeriFreight was one of the top listed freighting companies for military with reasonable pricing when searching online. There are many listed shipping companies and inquiring quotes will leave you bombarded with many random people calling you and offering some low price. The price is just to get your business and leave you surprised with a different amount owed. Amerifreights estimated quote was 60% lower than what the actual price was going to be. Somewhat misleading however the agent I worked with was able to explain clearly the market, how everything works, and sympathized with trying to get me a lower price to what the estimated quote was. All these companies contract your vehicle into a database for the actual shippers. Amerifreight does not actually ship. Working with Mr. Clayton I felt comfortable going through with getting my vehicle shipped. There were no curveballs or round about answers. He was able to directly explain how things work and any issues he thought there would be. From no doing over their own 4 carries canceled. 1st trucking company truck broke down day before pickup. 2nd carrier canceled. 3rd carrier was unable to load with weight distribution issues. 4th had issues with weather. Mr. Clayton saw this was unreasonable and worked on getting a solution and the vehicle taken care of. He found a carrier able to get the task done and also assisted with Amerifreight crediting my deposit. Communication was good and I was able to get answers with an agent even on weekends! Amerifreight does stand behind what they do and in the interest of the customer. Basically in the end they got my vehicle shipped to me free without a fee by crediting the deposit. Again they do not have carriers but understood the frustration of the issues that arose. I trust they are legit with their vetting of carries they use and highly rated stars only. My only fee was to the driver of the truck. No hidden fees or surprises. I understand my situation ended up being unique but their service is legit and at the top. Thanks
