Amerifreight was responsive and easy to work with. They are a broker and help find a cargo hauler for you. That said they do not hand walk you through all the pitfalls. This maybe more the state of the industry rather than amerifreight specifically. An example is that my original location was in San Francisco and that location was readily accepted by Amerifreight. However after talking with a friend about their car moving process I learned that some cargo places may not pick up within the city and instead on the day of make you drive elsewhere to drop off the car. I called and discussed this with my AmerFreight contact and they confirmed that cities and certain locations were difficult for car haulers. This information would have been useful to know upfront and without me having to do my own digging. It seems as these industries will take your address and pass it off the the car hauling company and will wait until the day for the truck driver to determine if it is accessible. Even on the dropoff in Austin the truck driver called me to change the location. This was annoying and would have been helpful to have scheduled a place earlier.
