Did you know that moving is considered one of the top 3 most stressful life events? For me it is 2nd only to death of a loved one. I just finished a move. It was traumatic. Included in this move was transporting my car from RI to FL. I saw this as just one more thing to go wrong. I searched, got some estimates...and was completely overwhelmed. Most were around $1300 and AmeriFreight $778. Hmm, why so low? When I called, I spoke to Melissa Dossett and got quite the education. She explained how the Auto Transport industry works - brokers, vehicles, carriers, the "big board", the company's transparency and why they begin with a lower rate. Melissa was articulate and patiently answered all of my questions, which were many! We decided to work with AmeriFreight and it could not have been a better experience. In the midst of a nightmare move, getting my car to FL was a breeze . I made arrangements with the carrier, Christian Transport, Maria and Flavio were a pleasure. It turns out they live just a few towns away from my destination! My brother is now transporting a car with AmeriFreight and we expect another uneventful, and more than satisfactory outcome. Included in the final quote was a senior discount of $25 and $50 for being a return customer. Nice added incentives. Final words, I would work with AmeriFreight again and request Melissa Dossett as my agent. If there were 10 stars to give, they would get them all. Happy moving!
