I have no real complaints about AmeriFreight and only positive things to say, and am grateful for the work that my agent, Samantha, was able to do to help us secure a vehicle carrier on short notice. The whole process went smoothly. So, consider this high praise, and they are the best around. Now, let's get real, and to be candid, just know that you are dealing with three entities working on one effort. You start with putting your info out into the world, on the internet, and about a hundred brokers contact you offering lower prices than the last one. Once you agree to a responsive broker, which AmeriFreight is, you agree to allow them to advertise your car transit needs at one of three levels of payment, depending upon your desire for priority. That info goes to an exchange, which is another national company board that lists your need as a job. They also choose how prioritize jobs on their online board. Then, the independent transit drivers, often who are one person with one truck, choose the jobs they want. Keep in mind that the prices quotes are way far below what you will actually pay. My $600 quote turned into $1200 for a variety of reasons. But, it worked, was worth it, and except for confirmation of the transit date at the last minutes, I felt good about how smooth it all went, fortunately. Oh, if you pay in full, it costs you more, then paying on pickup and delivery for some reason .It sure would be nice if you could just call a carrier and get them to directly carry your car, and cut out the broker and exchange. Anyway, not a criticism, this is how it's done and this was the best possible experience. Just too many cooks in the kitchen.
