Not understanding the industry, I was frustrated at first because I expected the day I selected as ready for pickup to be the pickup date, not 3 weeks later and nearly twice the quoted price. Lesson learned, understand first available means no sooner than and it is a bid industry meaning the lower the quote, the less folks that are interested/longer it can take, especially if demand is high. After I talked with Jessie and understood how the industry works, things became more clear to me. I was thankful that when I expressed frustration, Jessie applied her industry knowledge to help expedite movement of the vehicle. We had a contract offer for 40% less than what I ultimately paid and the car would have been to me a week sooner but Jessie and I could not connect via phone the day the offer was made before it expired (several phone calls and a text message). I paid heavily for that mistake but learned to call the main office directly, repeatedly, if I could not get hold of Jessie and usually within 3 or 4 calls I would get someone. I also learned Jessie and her team are doing a lot of juggling and multitasking so it's really the way the industry works. Jessie was super nice each time I talked to her, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I believe AmeriFreight is a good company and we had no issue with the carrier that hauled our car.
