My experience was okay. Original price quoted was $865 but, they were unable to find someone to pickup the car for the price. I think they just said they could in order to get my business. Most companies are able to tell you when your car will be picked up before the window of availability. They said due to COVID there were delays which is why I didn't know who would pickup my car until my availability date. I got a call saying for $1700 my car could be picked up which is a huge difference in price. I felt very taken advantage of. This is my third time shipping a car and the first two times, the price I was originally quoted was around the price I actually paid. I feel like I was ripped off for the service. Then the company that actually picked up my car, the driver when we were talking mentioned truck had broken down recently. I thought nothing of it. Then my car ended up being delayed five days due to their truck breaking down AGAIN. This is also the first time this has happened to me when shipping a car. I was advised this is normal and happens from time to time. This was very frustrating. I ended up spending more money getting around due to the delay. I was able to negotiate with the shipping company and take $100 off my total price making it $1600 in the end (this is main reason why my review is a 3 instead of a 2). However, this company would not be my first choice in the future. I feel like their are brokers that are better at their job than the individual I worked with. On bright side my car arrived in good condition.

We apologize for any frustrations this customer experienced during the shipment of their vehicle. While we do everything in our power to ensure that a customer's vehicle arrives to them on time, there are occasions where break downs happen, causing a delay. Ultimately, these instances are out of the control of both AmeriFreight and the carrier, but we make it a priority to keep constant communication between the customer and carrier until the problem is resolved. This customer opted for our Economy rate, which is explained in detail both by our customer service agents over the phone and in writing. This option allows for customers to receive multiple shipping offers from carriers, of which they get to make the final decision to accept an offer or wait for one that better suits their price range. This rate often saves customers hundreds of dollars on their auto shipments. The customer opted to select the first offer before there were additional offers to compare it with.
