Nightmare- Beginning to End

This company (or maybe just my representative, Whitney) was just an absolute nightmare to work with from start to finish. 1. My Amerifreight representative was horrible at responding to emails, or answering extremely direct questions. Didn't take any time to explain the car moving process, for someone like me who has never moved a car. I even called her and left a voicemail asking to talk, and she simply emailed me (didn't call) saying she basically has no answers for me, again avoiding the exact questions I was asking. It was like we were speaking two different languages, I had no way of phrasing my questions any more clearly. Moving is already stressful, and choosing Amerifreight made it so much worse. 2. They sent the wrong price in my receipt, and didn't fix it or alert me. I found out from the car carrier on the day of delivery and they required me to pay a higher price than my receipt said. Again, zero communication from Amerifreight. When I called Amerifreight on the day of delivery to clarify, they were completely unapologetic about the miscommunication, and claimed that they tried to call me once about it but that my voicemail was full (not true). Even so, they couldn't have sent me an email? Or called me again later? 3. The driver refused to drop off the car at the agreed-upon delivery address. They called an hour before delivery and demanded that I drive 30 minutes (I had to pay for a taxi) out of my way to a sketchy Walmart parking lot at night to pick up the car. They said the residential street would be too narrow for the delivery truck, which I totally understand except that they could have told us that from day 1, not the day of the delivery. I know that for a fact, because I've had other moving companies tell me ahead of time that the truck won't fit, just from looking at Google Maps. 4. This last reason is a relatively small part of my 1-star review, the other reasons are much more significant to me. You can't track your car shipment in any way while it's being shipped. You're completely in the dark the whole time. Just a sudden "we'll be there in an hour!" phone call. We had a different company moving our belongings and they easily provided that at several points in the process, so I don't know why Amerifreight has such a hard time getting this right. I'm giving it 1 star just for the price, it was decent I guess. I can't even describe how many times throughout this process I considered quitting on Amerifreight and finding another company, but I tried to stick it out, hoping it would get better. It did not, and I'd urge you to keep looking, do not choose Amerifreight!
