First off, actual price was more than initial "estimate" which I was able to live with. I am not happy, however, that the truck was received damaged. It was clear that somebody had the door opened and then backed off a trailer bending the driver door and hyper-extending the hinges. This damaged both the door and the front quarter panel preventing the door from closing. Amerifreight subbed the work out to Harry Transport Services (out of Des Moines). No documentation was given at the time of pickup, and it was clear the damage was listed after pickup (different ink and hand writing for damage to that part of the truck). I purchased the insurance - not like that has been helpful at all... Stay away from Amerifreight and Harry's Transport Services (DOT#052116)

We apologize for the inconveniences this customer experienced with their auto shipment. Our customer service agents stress the importance of obtaining a Bill of Lading (vehicle inspection documentation) from the carrier both at the time of pick up and delivery. This is also stressed in detail in every customer contract. It is ultimately the customer's responsibility to obtain the necessary paperwork from the carrier company at pick up and delivery, as this documentation is required in order to submit any type of gap coverage or carrier insurance claims, should damage occur. AmeriFreight provided this customer with the carrier's insurance information, but the gap coverage provider and carrier's insurance provider are ultimately the only parties who can approve or deny damage claims.
