Kathryn Major of AmeriFreight was awesome. I had a really great experience having two vehicles shipped for a military move. I also wanted to thank Mark from RAD Enterprises who handled the actual transport. My vehicles arrived at our new location in as good condition as when they left the old location. I’d like to explain some of my experience. I contacted Kathryn at least two weeks before my move. She explained everything in detail clearly. When you are given an estimate, be sure to note that it is the lowest possible and most likely goes up. Mine was just about the same as quoted. It is also very helpful if you can give a range of dates that your vehicle can be picked. Kathryn and I worked out a five day window. Plan for the unknown and be flexible. You may have to rent a vehicle until you get yours. You never know what may happen. I had already planned to rent a vehicle to give the transporter time to get my vehicle across the country. I didn’t receive a call that a transport picked up my bid until two days before my first day of the pick-up window. So be prepared to be patient. I know I called Kathryn once to get updates. She assured me that it’s normal and all was well, and she was right. I was also flexible for Mark. He was in my pick-up location a day early. I let him get my vehicles early so he wasn’t waiting around an extra day. It changed the drop off schedule to a day before I got to my new location. Mark suggested dropping it off at the hotel I would be staying and handing the keys to the front desk. I called the hotel and they agreed. I got to my hotel at my new location and my vehicles were parked nicely, locked up, and the keys were waiting for me at the front desk. After a long day of flights with pets, it was such a huge relief. This was great and I would call Kathryn if I ever need to ship my vehicles again. I hope my review helps any one decide on who to choose and what expectations you should have.
