Our experience with AmeriFreight was a good one overall. I listened to all the spill from several transport companies. It seemed to be very difficult to trust some of them with an expensive vehicle. We were shipping an SUV from Arkansas to Long Island N Y. From what I was told, it was a difficult time to ship because there was a shortage of drivers. It was very soon after New Years. I spoke with Tare Wright at AmeriFreight. She was very professional, with no B S. Once I gave her the OK, she sent me all the contract information and later explained it in detail. One thing I learned, once you sign the contract, the trucking co. seems to be holding all the cards, but they have a boat load of risk just like I do. In my case, none of the legal red tape was necessary. I did not take out the additional Ins, AFta Plan. I booked the deal on 1-11-19 and Tara found a driver on 1-19-19 a Saturday (order # 1501629522-OS). The final price was $401 higher than the original quote. The shipment went through Daytime Transport, Natalie Bulk, but the real bonus in this deal was MIKE the driver. He moved to the states from Russia. I was told he is an independent and owned the truck, but he was the true to his word (Tara had given me his phone number) Everything he told me was true. He told me he would deliver the veh in 2-3 days. He dropped it off at the front door in two and a half days and he had to go through 10 inches of snow in Virginia and D C. He communicated with me off and on, which was helpful. II later spoke with him and told him how pleased I was with his good service. Tara and AmeriFreight also stepped up with good service. I was impressed that someone from inside the co., other than Tara, followed up with me to make sure I was satisfied. Yes, I would use AmeriFreight again.
