Order number: 1501612324-OR I went with Amerifreight because they were the first ones to contact me about shipping a car from Baltimore to San Diego and also the lowest in terms of price $925 was my quote. I contacted them a month in advance and they explained the entire process. Communication with Amerifreight was definitely 5 stars and the broker Samantha was fairly easy to get in touch with regarding any questions. I was constantly contacted by other brokers who wanted my business throughout the entire process and one even texted me that the price my car was listed for $750 was never going to get shipped. I don't work in this industry but my guess is Samantha had my car listed for $750 to get shipped and was trying to make a commission of $175. I don't have a problem with that however just days before my car needed to be shipped I was contacted by Samantha and told that they received an offer for $1050. I don't know if she was trying to make more of a commission or what happened but at this point I really didn't have much of a choice even though I gave her a 5 day time window to ship the car as requested. I was then told that I should take this offer because it's so close to the holidays and I may not receive any other bids. Had I known this would happen last minute like this I could have attempted to work with another broker and tried to get a better price because I had other brokers that offered to ship the car for as low as $950. I just felt a little taken advantage of last minute so be aware the price you are quoted is not likely the true cost it will be to ship your car.

We are sorry that this customer's experience was not as expected. Our customers are provided with several shipping rates when an estimate is requested, depending on certain factors such as time constraints. This customer selected our Economy rate which is meant for shippers who have a more open shipment window. Many of our customers are able to receive significant discounts using this rate. An order is never dispatched prior to a customer's review and agreement to work with the carrier's offer. We hope that this customer will work with us again in the future and allow Amerifreight to provide them with a better experience.
