My initial estimate was for $1063. This was for the "economy" pricing.
I actually read the terms and understood that there was around a 35% chance of this price happening as it is contingent upon carriers basically filling empty space on an existing run. Based on that, I planned on paying a bit more to get my vehicle moved.
Richard did a great job of keeping me in the loop while finding a carrier to transport my RX-7 from Kansas to Oregon. I took a couple offers from carriers either coming in way over estimated price ($1400) or wanting to pickup the next day or in a few hours from initial contact before we found one that worked.
Since I wasn't under tight time constraints, Richard helped me work through not just accepting the first offer when it came in too high. He also helped find a carrier that could handle me not being immediately available by phone during business hours due to my job constraints.
The carrier that Richard eventually found me picked up the vehicle from a storage facility and dropped it off a day earlier than expected.
