Great customer service from Richard at AmeriFreight. He was friendly and checked in throughout the process, so no real issue with that.
A few things that may be helpful:
- AmeriFreight handles brokering of your vehicle. Some other service will be transporting your vehicle.
- The quote they give you is likely going to be lower than what you will eventually pay. My quote was a little under $200 lower than my final cost because the final price is what they broker with the carrier.
- The estimated delivery date may not be when your vehicle arrives. My vehicle arrived about 2/3 days after when they estimated and what I was looking for.
- If you are planning to move some luggage in your vehicle across states, let them know. Some carriers are open to carrying about 100 lbs of luggage in your trunk.
- Double check if your standard car insurance covers shipping or if your credit card covers shipping your vehicle.
- Make sure you take a video/photographs of your vehicle before shipping & after if you are planning to file claims.
