Generally excellent experience

Amerifreight, the shipping contractor, is a highly professional outfit that gave me an on-line quote that was very competitive with other shippers. Based on their excellent reviews it took me very little additional information to choose this outfit. Their representative, Chantal, promptly returned my call and was very accommodating with arranging pickup.

My only gripes were some irritating issues with the actual transporter of the vehicle, Speed Auto Transport, Inc. Their customer service agent, Enrico, was a very nice guy who did try his best to work closely with me. However, they ended up picking up the vehicle 1-2 days early, and delivered it when I was out of town (good thing that a friend could be at my home to pick it up). They also neglected to call him in advance of the drop-off, as they had promised to do, and then requested that he drive the van driver back to his van, which was parked 15 minutes away.

One of the impressive things about Amerifreight was their responsiveness to feedback about their post-delivery rebate program, which has until now stated that negative reviews based on their carrier's service (rather than Amerifreight's) would disqualify the customer from receiving the rebate. This concerned me, as Amerifreight does take responsibility for the customer's experience from start to finish - that's why they earn the fees that they do. I called Amy, their customer service rep, and she promptly relayed my concerns to the CEO who has re-worded their rebate offer so that it ensures only that Amerifreight gets an opportunity to address any problems before a review is posted.

Overall, a great experience, and I would gladly use Amerifreight again.
