The above stars are specifically for AmeriFreight's side of my business. They were just my broker during my transport process. They were fine in terms of customer service. Very helpful in setting everything up and was able to make a deal somewhat close to my offer relatively soon.

The actual shipping company, West Coast Auto Transport, Inc. However, was sub-par. I was screamed at by their Tacoma handler because I called him on a Saturday. My car was estimated to arrive on Sunday, and the actual office either doesn't or couldn't get hold of the driver. I wanted to know where my car was to see if it would arrive on Sunday, when estimated, or later. WCAT gave me the number to the Tacoma handler, whom I didn't know was NOT the driver. I called once on Thursday, and left a message on Friday asking to return my call. All of Saturday goes by and I call him a few times. I get a text that says he can't talk. I respond with pretty much exactly what I asked in the voice-mail I left, and to please call me back ASAP. I call again because I had no response after a few hours, to which I get an angry Russian man screaming at me saying "nobody works on Saturdays, your car will be here when it gets here, don't call me again." Picked up my car Monday. At least that part went smoothly.

I would advise two things to anyone looking to transport their vehicle:
1. If you use AmeriFreight, who are fine as a broker, do not let them set you up with West Coast Auto Transport.
2. If you have a "more seasoned" vehicle (scratches, very small dents) do not opt for the $100 extra "scratch coverage" insurance.

I shipped my 2005 GTO that has quite the bit of scratches from it being a low sports car that is 11 years old.

I noticed a few scratches that weren't there before, and viewed the original walk-around sheet. They had actually covered the whole picture of the car with "scratch and dent." At the bottom there was a box checked that said "Car is in generally poor condition. Ships as is." I didn't have a chance to get any compensation.

All-in-all, AmeriFreight is a good broker. West Coast Auto Transport lacks in customer service quality.
