The customer chose to ship with the Economy Rate option. As stated on our order forms, the economy rate is a standby rate we offer to our customers and is normally below the average going rate carriers will ship the vehicle at. Some carriers will accept this rate in order to fill a load. 65-70% of our customers have their vehicles picked up within 3-5 days at this economy rate. However, it does happen that carriers will not accept this rate and we will therefore have to renegotiate for a higher rate to get the vehicle moved. Our office did refund the customer back a portion of the deposit to help offset the additional fee.
