You need to be flexible for a deal. The dispatcher really runs the show.

The person that takes your order is nice and accommodating and all is good and no real issues. Then once you sign up it goes to another guy who is the dispatcher. He just wants to get you off his board. The dispatcher says "your pickup city is not popular. We have an opportunity to drop off you car 2.5 hours away in Los Angeles from you and it's a good deal". The first person said it probably wouldn't really be an issue to get it to my town but we would have to see. When I specially asked if I would have to go to Los Angeles, I heard from the first person, I don't need to worry about that.
I assume I got a good deal.

The driver of the transport, first said around 11 -12, then texted me while I was sleeping in CA that he would be at my families house at 9am to pickup car in NC. When he wanted to drop off car I told him I need a lot of lead time to get to Los angeles. Worst case I had to get rental car for one way trip. He gave me two choices, one in 8 hours or next day. The first choice is a Sunday at 11pm and no opportunity to get a rental car on a Sunday. so I did get a friend to take me down to Los angeles. Weekday around rush hour means 3 hour + drive home and possible 3 hour drive down.

OK so be flexible and ask these questions, what are the issues with these cities for departure and arrival? What time of lead time will the transport company give me and can they accommodate special circumstances of needing a big lead time for me to meet them. The Dispatcher really runs the show not the person that takes your order. What the dispatcher does goes.
