Overall good job

Although I wasn't crazy about the process by which the initial quote for the shipping was given to me, overall I felt this company did a very good job. Initially, I was given a quote, but it turns out that the quote wasn't very realistic and I ended up paying $350 more than I was initially quoted for the shipping. In addition to that detail, there were some glitches with my initial contact person leaving the company and my ending up with a phone message number that was obsolete, where it took several days to reestablish contact.

That said, once the initial kinks were worked out, I found AmeriFreight thereafter very responsive and the actual trucking company that delivered the car (Avrora) was spot on. They picked up the car exactly when they said they would, and delivered it exactly when promised.

The AmeriFrieight folks checked in by phone at each step to ensure that the project was completed as promised, and once we got our communication straightened out, I think that they would have been quick to address any problem.

In all fairness, I think the process by which they post jobs makes the ultimate price for shipping slightly beyond AmeriFreight's total control - as they post the proposed shipping job to some trucker's electronic bulletin board where companies can then bid on the job. That was explained to some degree at the outset, and now that I've been through this, I'd be more savvy about the process in the next go round. I would use AmeriFreight again, and would especially use this trucking company again.
