My one observation since this isn't something people do everyday. While some brokers will quote you a lower price and get you to sign the paperwork, there is an optional and somewhat buried escalation clause presented later that can quickly drive the price up. If you read through the reviews, you will see this is a common occurrence.

I was quoted $745, but ended up paying $1000. The escalation clause is not universal among all brokers (my company pays a fixed fee based geographic location...may be due to volume or a fixed agreement). If you're patient and not up against any sort of deadline, then I would opt out of it. Also, it is worth researching and asking around. The way it was presented to me on the phone - you have to agree to the higher price now or we will lose this transport and who knows when the next one will come along.

Overall, the customer service contacts were friendly and responsive once I agreed to go with Amerifreight. The driver was on-time for the pick up and dropped the car off two days early. The driver's professionalism and reassurance was what really made it a positive experience.

I would use them again (and work with Graham) now that I know more about the industry in general.
