I was very hesitant about shipping my vehicle based on the research I had done and the negative experiences of many individuals. I choose Amerfreight because they did have a good rating with the BBB in conjunction with their transport review rating. I was generally satisfied with my experience - nothing extremely negative - but nothing outstanding either. The auto transport industry is peculiar and brokers are definitely sales people - so I went into it very skeptical. The things that brought the rating down to average were a few communication issues. I also thought that the deposit was high, which I believe is their fee, compared to other auto brokers companies, so I expected superior service based on that. Some reviewers said their brokers were great and kept in constant communication with them the entire transport process. Once my deposit was paid I did not hear from them and when I did call with questions, felt that the message was that I was on my own at this point to deal with the carrier. The carrier on the other hand gets a full 5 stars. Your Choice Transport, LLC - they arrived on time to the minute. The car arrived in 4 days! He first estimated 5 days and called to let me know he was ahead of schedule. Drop off again was on time to the minute. It was true door to door in small residential neighborhoods - the driver was kind and courteous. If I had to do again - I would probably skip the broker and go with the carrier directly to save the $300. But, I would recommend Amerifreight if someone wanted service and did not need to have a lot of communication with the broker. I also do not like the fact that if I didn't give a review in 7 days I would be charged $50 - which was given as a instant discount to the initial quote.
