My son needed to transport his Mustang GT from San Diego CA to High Point NC prior to being deployed. We contacted several vehicle transport brokers and ended up going with AmeriFreight who quoted $1055, which included $95 for insurance to cover up to $400 of damage, and a $50 discount when he agreed to complete an online review.

Jorge (AmeriFreight contact) called and said the transport trucks only go to Virginia and not to High Point NC, the price increased $200 for extra transportation costs to High Point. Jorge called a fews days latter arranging a pick up for Saturday.

The truck picked up the car on Sunday (not Saturday), when it was delivered the following Saturday, I noticed the radio antenna was damaged. The truck driver said to contact AmeriFreight to make a damage claim on Tuesday (Monday was a holiday). The same day the car was delivered, I sent Jorge an email to make a damage claim to get the antenna repaired. I sent three more emails Tuesday and Wednesday, in the last email I asked Jorge why he hasn't responded to my emails. Jorge finally sent an email, only to provide a link for the online review that we agreed to complete, but no mention of the antenna issue. I replied back explaining to Jorge that I've sent several emails concerning a damage claim and asked why he hasn't responded to my claim. The next day Jorge replied saying he had received all my previous emails, and that he had sent me a link for the online review that I needed to complete as previously agreed. Again, absolutely no mention concerning my damage claim. I replied back to Jorge within minutes, telling him I still have an issue with the damaged antenna, there's been no further response from Jorge.

Money was paid for insurance, there was damage to the car antenna, Jorge won't discuss the issue at all, but he didn't have any problem taking my sons money.

There's two things that Jorge has in common with other complaints I've seen on the internet; 1) He'll give a low ball price to real you in, then raise the price, and 2) Once the contract is made with the actual transporter, he's done with you.

It looks like the added insurance fee that was paid, is just extra money for the brokers pocket.

Jorge, you asked for this review, so here you go, now can we get this antenna issue resolved?
