Before I give my list of pros and cons to doing business with this company I want to say that my experience was a positive one. I would recommend Amerifreight to anyone who plans on shipping their car.

Yes I have been offered compensation to write this review (their student rebate plan requires it and I'm poor), but I also feel that these people deserve a good review.
Here are my pros and cons:

Pros:

1) I'm a forgetful person and never write down information so often I forget my contact's phone numbers. I must've called my Rep at Amerifreight 4 times with the same question and every time he was there to help me out - Very polite people.

2) People from the contracted shipping company (I think mine was American + shippers) were just as nice. I forgot some things in my car after they fastened it to the top of the truck but they were more than willing to climb up and get these items (this happened a few times). Once I called them after I left because I forgot something but they waited for me to come back to check the car again.

3) The truck drivers were prompt on pickup and delivery times. I actually accidentally had the pickup drivers wait 30 min because I wasn't there to deliver my car (and they were still nice). It's always reassuring to know where your car is.

4) No damage was done to the car over shipment.

Overall I gave these guys a lot of hassle but they have their stuff together. Of course to be fair I've got to give the cons.

Cons:

1) As a contractor Amerifrieght doesn't actually have the trucks to ship cars. They actually put your name on a customer list for other shipment companies to bid on. Essentially you give them a week timeframe which you want your car to be picked up and wait until someone finds you, so call them in advance. Fortunately I was able to narrow down the timeframe to within a day for an extra 40$ (fair enough).

2) I think that trucks have to pay money based on their weight at truck weigh stations. Because I think this affects the net pay of the drivers, you aren't really supposed to have anything in the car when it is shipped. The simple solution for me was to ship everything through UPS. Also, I snuck some stuff into the car and the American + shipper guys didn't have a problem with it.

In short Great Service, Friendly People, Would Recommend
