Needed to ship car from Georgia to California to my son. Used Amerifreight because of all positive reviews, but mainly because they were a Georgia company. They are brokers. They find companies to ship your vehicle. They do not do the shipping themselves. They provided the cheapest price to ship although that's not why I chose them. I contacted them on a Friday. On Monday (which was a holiday) I received an email stating they found a shipper. I called them and within an hour everything between Amerifreight and myself was completed. I paid them a fee of $195 which they charged to my credit card. After that I dealt with the shipper. The shipper was also from Georgia and just so happened to live about 1 hour from me which was great for me. The shipper called me Monday night to schedule a pickup on Tuesday. I was also fortunate that the shipper ran a family business so he travelled with his two sons and drove straight through to California in two days instead of the typical 1-7 day delivery timeframe. They picked up the car down the street from me at a mall and then drove me home in the car I was shipping. They delivered the car to my son as promised on Thursday and were very flexible with him in when he could pick it up. The car had no damage, but was dirty as expected. Both Amerifreight and the shipper told me it would be dirty when it got there. My son paid the balance which the shipper expects in cash. I never had any trouble speaking to someone at Amerifreight or the shipper who gave me his cell number. One other thing, I forgot to ask for a copy of the bill of lading from the shipper and he did not offer it. That was my bad, but I would think as part of their process they would always give you one. I called him and he emailed me a copy within an hour. My son also did not ask for a copy and again the shipper did not give him one. Not that the delivery bill of lading was that important because we already had the car and there was no damage, but make sure to get the bill of lading if not offered. I would definitely use AmeriFreight and this shipper again.
