Horrible communication or lack there of for a business. Once they got the deposit, I could hardly get in touch with anyone and when I did half a day later she was of no help. No one answered the main line on their website either. Very shady for a supposed business. Also the "Customer Service Rep" did not answer me the whole day on what was supposed to be the pick up day. Once she did answer late evening she told me she had fallen asleep after a long doctors appointment and ‘not to worry’ that no one knew where the car was or could not get in touch with anyone she said that this happens all of the time in this business. I’m sorry NO, this is not how businesses on earth operate. Sorry but what does your personal life have to do with business or me? Super strange and unprofessional. (I have these text exchanges if needed still can’t believe a human put that in writing to a customer) If you are out of touch another rep should handle the customer that is not the customers problem and someone, anyone should answer their main telephone line. The website says they are available 7 days a week but that is not true. How can a business dealing with peoples property not have someone answer the phone? The dealership was about to close and the car had not been picked up yet. The driver was unreachable with no voicemail and did not answer texts (same with the rep from Eship) and the main line on Eship website was unanswered. I was given one number for a driver, then another driver, then a third driver all of which were not reachable after the first communication. The first driver told me it would be delivered next morning, next day second driver never answered and told me his phone died all day (unprofessional you run a business and have peoples property and probably untrue how can your phone die if you are in a truck driving in 2021) the third driver answered after a few hours and said noon, then 4:00, when 4:30 came around driver was unreachable again and so was Eship. When driver finally answered at 9:00pm he said he had 'misplaced' his phone all day. I missed several shifts for work because of this lack of communication. This should really embarass Eship. They should not do business with "companies" like this and the one time the rep from Eship contacted me she just told me not to worry it will get there with no help at all. No, I paid for a service I was not receiving. The point of using a broker is to navigate this crazy shipping world and they were no help at all. They did not come through with any help and could not even be reached through multiple means of contact. That leads me to believe this company only has a couple of employees and should not take on business they cannot handle correctly. I take issue with not being able to communicate. Stuff happens in life but not being able to communicate is completely unacceptable for a business. Even if the drivers were having issues Eship should do what they are paid for and get in touch with the drivers they hired to do a job. I was also sent two different insurance proofs for one supposed transport company. Both addresses were different and none of the drivers listed on the policy. There was no way to know if these drivers were actually insured under that policy or not and they already had my car! (I asked for the insurance several times and only got it after the car was picked up, had I been able to GET IN TOUCH with Eship I would have cancelled due to this fact. Now a driver who I have no idea is insured or not HAS MY CAR) Changing drivers 3 times is a bait and switch leaving the owner of the car no way to verify driver is insured or even works for the company hired. The contract for Eship also says they are not responsible for any damages at all that they hire licensed and insured companies only. Then what is the point of using Eship if they 1) are not insured to protect customer (what are you insured for then? you do not drive the car and do not provide coverage for damages). 2) Cannot provide named driver on said insurance from supposed insured company THEY HIRE. 3) Do not communicate and have no way to get in touch with them once they get your deposit. 4) Cannot get in touch with drivers THEY HIRE. There are several more things that went wrong that I could write here but my hands are tired. Beware! Book direct with a driver do not use a broker they only care about getting your money and then leave you out in the cold to deal with their terrible hiring choices. PS I did get a text one time to check in and I answered and told them it was going horribly please help and then they never responded...then why even text me?! laughable but its not so funny when its $30,000+ more of your property on the line.
