The independent trucking company was pleasant to work with however, this transport brokerage firm is extremely unprofessional. When they informed me of an additional $69 charge I questioned it - politely and just wanted an explaination. The supervisor was rude and ignorant. He could not provide me a reason for the increase and immediately became defensive and obnoxious. He went as far as to threaten putting my car in storage and charging an additional 24% - just because he said he could. The sad thing is all I wanted was a reasonal explaination of the extra charges I would have closed the conversation. However, the supervisor attempted no logical explaination but instead became rude, threatening and amazingly stupid. His logic was that the fuel surcharge was because the arilines are raising prices......he could not go further!! The shipping company informed us they have not changed prices. As I read through all the other complaints there is a common theme of bait and switch - Benny is the pleasant one who gets your business and then the "supervisor" handles it from there. Stay away from these guys - go directly to the shipping companies. However, if you do go through a brokerage do some research.
