I contacted this company after receiving several different quotes to ship my car from TN to CA 2 weeks prior to the desired Pick up date. The quote given was on the lower end of the several quotes received. Upon contacting the company, Phil was quick to respond. He assured me that my vehicle would be picked up on or by that date for the price quoted 795. I placed the order and paid the 195 deposit, as I thought. 200$ was deducted from my account. When I contacted Phil the same day, he said that there was a 5$ processing fee, which would have been fine but was not discussed before hand. My car was to be picked up on 23rd. I contacted the company several times with no response, by email and phone. I asked them to refund my deposit if they were not able to provide the services. I finally got an email stating that they found a carrier for my car and that it would be picked up on the 28th and delivered by the 6th with an increase price of 200$. No one discussed this with me, they just dispatched my car to this driver. My car was not picked up until the 3rd and dropped off in CA on the 9th. The driver was very nice and honest. Universal Transport avoided all of my calls, voice mails , and emails. I contacted both Sandy and Phill several times with no response. I would not recommend using this company to anyone. It was very inconveniencing to the Pick up person to not know when the car would be picked up and also the drop off person in Cali for not knowing when to be available to receive the care. Overall I am very dissatisfied.
