I was given a very competitive rate from my universal transport. Michael made calls and timely return calls to secure my business. Michael Lee gave me a price of $295 to transport my classic vehicle. Michael never told me it was just a estimate he told me it was his final price. I was told by Michael I needed to pay a $100 deposit and the additional $195 was to be in cash to the driver when he delivered my car.

On October 31, 2012 I agreed to have My Universal Transport move my classic vehicle. Michael faxed me a copy of the contract and attempted sign it and send it back. The office fax machine was not working. I had to send it to his personal phone/fax.

On November 9th I sent a e-mail to Michael advising him my vehicle was ready to transport. For the next 10 days I e-mailed and called Michael, the office, the dispatcher and no one would return my calls.

On November 21, 2012 I got a call from a person who advised me for a additional $200, total of $495 they had a transporter who could pick it up today and have it to me in 3 days. I said, no I agreed to $295. I told this person to please have Michael Lee call me. Michael never called or e-mailed.

The following day I got a call from a driver stating he was in Battle Creek, MI about 90 miles away from me and wanted to drop my car. The driver showed up, he was very polite and worked for a transporter named Foremost Transport, INC. The driver Steve advised he was contracted by My Universal Transport and that I needed to pay a balance of $395 to get my car. I told Steve that my contract said I was to pay $195 balance per My Universal Transport contract. I showed Steve my contract, paid him the $195 and unloaded my car.

The following day I received a call from Foremost Transport LLC advising I owed them a additional $200. I explained that my contract stated $195 balance which I paid the driver Steve. Foremost told me they would contact Michael Lee at My Universal Transport to get this figured out. Representatives from Foremost called me back several days and advised me no one from My Universal Transport would return their calls.

Foremost Transport did not make me pay the difference but I did feel bad they they were the ones who got screwed over by My Universal Transport.

I would not use this company again as they were not honest with me or with the actual transport company they got to transport my vehicle.
