I had selected United Routes LLC after reading a lot of good reviews about it. Yes, they sounded professional and nice and their charges were a higher than what the other carriers were asking for but hey, you get what you pay for right?? WRONG !! I paid $978 (it was the highest amongst the rates quoted by the different transport companies). I thought that if I pay more, my car would be take the utmost care of. I was so wrong! First let's start with David Tal. He had said that since I was booking quite ahead of time, my car would be driven on to the trailer just once. He lied. When I took delivery in California, I asked the driver how many times my car has been driven off and on the trucks, he said 3 times because first they collect in a smaller truck and they hand it over to a bigger truck and then back to a smaller truck again. I am very fond of my car and do not like it to be driven by other people but what can you do when people would lie to any extent to get your business? Next the horrid part, when I took delivery, I checked for external damages and there were none. So I signed the bill of lading saying everything was ok. Imagine my horror when I started driving and found coolant leaking from below !! I immediately stopped driving, called AAA towing and got my car towed to the nearest auto repair shop. They said that the radiator had cracked and had to be replaced (cost $321). I contacted United Routes LLC, spoke to David Tal and their operations head Kasey. They asked me to send pictures of the damages. I sent pictures of coolant leaking below the car, multiple pictures of radiator crack along with green coolant leak around the radiator and damages to the bottom of the car. Kasey called back next day saying my car was old (1997 Honda Civic) and hence they are not responsible for damages to it. I argued that my car was in fine condition when I gave it to them (I drive the car daily to work) and how come the radiator cracked only while it was in transit? Of course they are in no mood to listen because their business is done and they have got the money! Guys I will tell you one thing. Yes United Routes has a good track record and may have done a good job in the past. Sure, everybody is nice when everything is going well. But the true test of a company is how they respond to situations and how they make you feel when you feel helpless and cheated. And United Routes LLC did not rise to the occassion even when the damage was worth $321. They are as bad as any other fly-by-night company who will wash their hands off when you need them the most. They are not as good a company as their high charges would have you believe. Save your money and STAY AWAY !! If you are still not convinced, I can send you the pictures that I took so that you can assess for yourself what they did, e-mail me at abhijsen@gmail.com
