Purchased a vehicle that was in Santa Cruz CA and had it shipped to Las Vegas. Used a website that produced numerous offers and United Auto Transporters (with an "s" at teh end) provided what I considered a responable quote. The low end of quotes was at $340 and the high end was close to $900, so I got iin on the low end of the scale. I contracted on Wednesday afternoon, car was picked up on Friday and I had it on Saturday. I even had to have the drivers "chill" before they could deliver because I wasn't available as early as they were ready to deliver. Talk about over delivering. One thing I learned is how competetive this business is. Take your time and don't allow anybody to pressure you into a decision. I was also working with a company called Capitol Auto Transport and when I informed the owner that I booked with another company for $80 less than his quote he basically said "Good luck." The implication was that the company wouldn't be able to get a carrier to take my vehicle for that price. I told him that if the company couldn't get a carrier I would return to his company and he essentially replied "no thanks" citing that his folks had already worked for about five hours to bring me the best price and service. Had the deal fallen through with United, then I would have been forced to find another company on short notice, but United did not disappoint. Their customer service was excellent, price was reasonable, and their service was prompt. When I ship another vehicle, I know I won't have to wade through a bunch of quotes. I'll give United Auto Transporters a call.
