What's the point in scheduling in advance?

I called to schedule a pickup up my vehicle about 2 months before my scheduled pickup! I had a fantastic quote of $550. I spoke to the representative about 1 month and 1 week before my scheduled pickup to confirm that the truck was still coming. The representative assured me that I would receive my pickup information at least 2 days before pickup! Since I hadn't heard anything, I called the day prior to my pickup. Needless to say, George was not available, and I received empty promises from other representatives claiming to call me with updated information. Well, my scheduled pickup day came. I, again, called like a fool hoping I'd get a pickup. The representatives, again, game me false hope that they'd call me back within an hour. This time, I didn't bother to hold my breath! I called again 2 days after my scheduled pickup for someone to tell me that the quote would increase by $50. Then, they said that the price would increase by $100. Since they couldn't get their story together, I just thanked them for all the confusion. In the end, I'm left holding the bag!
