We quoted this in Nov. AZ to OH "reverse snowbird" freight. Snowbirds coming to AZ for the winter. We need freight out to cover fuel costs. They kept delaying shipment until April when it becomes the opposite. We couldn't honor same price 5 months later but offered a cheaper price including a military discount. Also diesel is $1 more per gallon. She got mad and cancelled and hired 2 different brokers. We actually bought the contract from one of the brokers which paid us $150 more and the broker made $150. She actually cost herself $225 more for trying to make us honor a 5 month old quote out of season. Hire a carrier and save yourself money.
