You are asking for a nightmare if you deal with this company. Stay as far away as possible and use this as your first warning. The company employees some of the very best liars that you will ever have the misfortune of dealing with. I completed booking with this company on 12/14 with a scheduled pick up in Tallahassee for 12/18/2017. I made inquiries about the pickup and delivery times and was told that I would have that information that afternoon or possibly on 12/15. The nightmare and the misinformation program was in full operation at that point. You will have the pleasure of speaking to a couple of very engaging young ladies who will let you know that everything is OK or if you call during business hours or after and are put into voice mail, you will never hear a word from them again. What ever the women say is simply designed to get you off the phone with a promise that everything is OK and that "someone" will be back in touch with the hard information that anyone would need in order to ship an auto, don't you think. Never, never a return call or a return email from this outfit. As late as 9:00 AM on 12/18 (pick up day) I had not been able to contact anyone concerning the time to be ready for pickup. I had been assured at that time that we would receive a call around 12:00 noon to tighten down the pick up time between the 2:00 and 4:00 pm that they did confirm. The driver would call. At 12:58 still no call so I got back in touch with the lying company and was told the driver would touch base but that he was at another pickup or delivery in Tallahassee and that indeed, nothing to worry about, everything is in order. As of 4:44 yesterday, still no call, no nothing so slipped in under the 5:00 closing time to find out that sure enough, everything is fine and the driver is on his way. I reached them at 6:00 pm on a back line and was told that things are in order and that the driver will be there for the pick up. I had reached out to uShip at 4:45 , the brokerage, if you will, for various car transport companies. I let them know about the company that they helped hook me up with and they elevated that to their Customer Satisfaction division to contact Tropical Auto to express concern and see what was going on. Danielle, one of the skilled deceptive phone crew at Tropical Auto Carriers told uShip that they had a sudden cancel by the driver, BS and that they had scheduled pick up for the next day as early as possible. They never had a driver and were hoping to find one, and lie their way through it and hope to stumble into good luck. Keep this in mind, that is not what they told me 5 minutes before they had to answer to uShip, and I have a copy of the email... Danielle tried to say that I had changed the pickup date, BS again. Her lies and those on behalf of the Tropical Auto Carriers are as low as you can go in any business. Absolute bottom of the pile company. For some reason, I was not able to contact this fine example of a grotesque company and I assume that my phone number is not one that they would like to have a conversation with. uShip was nice enough to place an Urgent attachment to the bid process for my vehicle, which had to remain in Tallahassee while we were catching a plane. Nice scam Tropical Auto Carriers. Stay away folks, stay away!
