I've shipped cars back and forth from OR to VA and MD several times and NEVER had an experience as bad as with this company.

In an email, they quoted (MD to OR):
$850 total, $175 (broker fee) up front in deposit and $675 due when the car arrived.

The amount shown in the contract between TriStar and the trucking company:
$1075 due when the car arrived.

When the car arrived two weeks later, the driver demanded $1075. We said this wasn't what we agreed on and called to confirm with TriStar. The representative (Sam) proceeded to YELL at us and claimed we didn't read the whole contract. The 'contract' we signed and sent back was the email quote that SAYS IT IS THE CONTRACT IN THE EMAIL.

The bottom line was that the amount stated in the contract with TriStar was NOT the same as the amount in the contract TriStar had with the trucking company. The contact at the trucking company was very reasonable and sent us a copy of his contract, he had no knowledge of the amounts quoted by Tristar.

We have paid the trucking company with a cashiers check (so we have a receipt) and will follow up in court with TriStar. It's only $400, but these guys have been getting away with this s$%^ for too long.

the customer was charged the broker fee and $125.00 for the terminal fee that we paid for to G&G towing as per the customers request.
