I selected Total Car Shipping because of positive ratings on Transport Reviews and because the dealer where I purchased the car in Massachusetts had good experiences with them in the past. Total Car Shipping was not the least expensive option, but I was willing to pay slightly more for a good experience.

Total Car Shipping is a broker that contracts with the actual transporter. My car was available on Monday but was not picked up until Wednesday. However, that was not a problem for me.

The car arrived on Sunday, during a snow storm, and was covered with snow and road slush. That was to be expected. Unfortunately, when I took the car through a wash 30 minutes later, we discovered that the windshield and part of the roof had been damaged during shipment. That started a long process of documenting the damage, getting insurance estimates, etc. While I was obviously frustrated by the damage, I do have to say that Nilda and Total Car Shipping were very helpful in providing proof of the transporter's insurance, answering my questions, and forwarding messages to the transporter before I had their direct contact information.

This week, I finally received the reimbursement check from the transporter for the repair work. The transporter was a bit slow to respond, but I appreciate their honestly too as they did admit and reimburse me for the damage in the end.

Through this process Total Car Shipping as the broker, was honest, responsive, and helpful, and I would consider working with them again. Despite the frustration of receiving a damaged car, I am giving Total Car Shipping 4.5 to 5 stars for their professionalism.
