this was our first time shipping a car. Gina was great to work with. She explained the intire process to me. She was very professional. She communicated with me at every point along the way. Only downside is the driver would not transport for the price i had been originally quoted. it cost a bit more...Gina told me she would keep looking if i wanted, but we wanted to get the car shipped so accepted the price the driver she had found demanded. The car was picked up a day early and dropped on the other side of the country about 2 days ahead of the earliest date they expected to arrive (i had been given a 3 day window for possible delivery).
The driver was prompt, poite, professional and took good care of the car. One downside: it was suppose to be "door to door". But we had to meet him at a rest area on the highway on the pick up end. He explained and showed me that the truck he was driving is lower to the ground and pretty tall, so he couldn't get in to the" tight New England neighborhoods"!?! He promised he would get in closer on the delivery end... from what i understand he did.
The fact that once the deal got rolling pick up and delivery were so prompt was a huge plus for us.
My advise when shipping a vehicle via the venue: be flexible.
Also, when using an open carrier always expect the vehicle to be dirty upon arrival... otherwise, i suggest using a closed carrier.
