The company is completely dishonest!! They will do any and say anything to snake their way into getting a new customer. This company completely took advantage of a situation with my elderly Vietnamese speaking mother-in-law. My mother-in-law setup a reservation for $795 with Stateway Auto Transport to transport a vehicle from Illinois to Colorado. Top One apparently had delivered a previous vehicle as subcontractor for Stateway Auto Transport for my mother-in-law a few months earlier. So, a few days after the reservation had been setup with Stateway Auto Transport. My mother-in-law called the phone number on the previous delivery contract to get a status update on the pickup date for the new delivery and it was answered by someone at Top One Auto Transport. Instead of Top One Auto Transport telling my mother-in-law that they were not the contracted company on the new delivery, they setup a new reservation of their own for $900. Then, went to pick up the vehicle. Once the vehicle was on their truck and in route they called my mother-in-law to advise they would not release the vehicle unless she had $900 dollars onhand in either cash or cashier's check. I personal contacted Top One Auto Transport and requested that they honor the rate quoted by Stateway Auto Transport due to the dishonest way that they took advantage of my mother-in-law. He absolutely refused and cursed at me as he hung up the phone. This is obviously not the first negative review of this company. There are negative reviews on the BBB website and the RipoffReport.com website. Do business with these dishonest people at your own peril.
