I scheduled a pickup on 14 November with an employee of the company for transport on 28 November from Florida to California as part of a military-mandated move (I am active duty military). I scheduled the $200 "check by phone" deposit. During this call, the employee guaranteed me a 28 November pickup, a $700 total, and further told me that Titanium Transport was not just a "broker," but also a trucking company. He informed me that the price was so low because one of their own trucks would be used. Before authorizing the deposit on-line, I read through the terms and conditions. Line 11 identified that Titanium Transport is a broker, not a trucking company. I also noticed that no price was guaranteed. Before authorizing, I called again and spoke with the same employee. He assured me that because Titanium was providing the truck for this transaction, the price was locked in.
I called again on 27 November because no one had called to give me a time window of the transport. I had an argument with an employee because "he hadn't even had his coffee yet." I wanted to explain how many mornings in Afghanistan I haven't had the chance to have a cup of coffee...but I digressed. I called three times throughout the day; each time I was told someone would return my call in a set timeframe, however I always had to call back since no one would return my call within the suggested time frame.
On 28 November, the scheduled day of pickup, I called in the morning to ask for details. They told me a dispatcher would call within an hour. Three hours later I called again; they finally gave me a dispatcher but said my vehicle wasn't scheduled. I told them this was a military-mandated move and I didn't have the ability to change my timeline. Had they not been able to meet the timeline, they should have let me know earlier than the day of scheduled pickup. When I asked for the employee who made me the guarantees, they conveniently said he was fired. I told them he worked for them just the day prior, and they said that was correct - he was fired the day prior.
I asked for my $200 deposit back, to which they told me they couldn't do that b/c that was a fee for finding me a date/pickup. When I reminded them they didn't do that for me, they said "but that doesn't mean we didn't try." They kept referring to the terms and conditions. I mentioned that they were completely scamming a military guy, during Christmas season, immediately after 9 months deployed in Afghanistan. They showed no compassion, and would not refund any of the deposit.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. I WAS LIED TO MULTIPLE TIMES; I honestly second guess whether or not this is a legitimate company or a complete scam.
