I contacted Auto Transport Group at 1(877)622-6130 to set up delivery for my 2011 rockwood tent trailer. I was connected to Danielle at extension 106 and explained that I had a 19 foot tent trailer that needed to be moved from Illinois to California. I asked if they moved such items and she referred me to Anthony (also in the office at extension 106). Anthony assured me that they move such items, that it would be no problem, and that they would just have to place it on a lowboy trailer. The cost, only $1200.00. I was amazed as Anthony's bid was $1000.00 lower than the lowest other bid I had received. I left them with a $200.00 deposit and was told that I had a seven day window for them to find a driver. This was done on Wednesday 3-9-11 starting day one as they ran my credit card that day.
By the following Wednesday (day 8) I called and was told by Danielle no driver yet. I told her I wanted to cancel as I had met my obligation of 7 days. She talked me into staying on a little longer saying they were working hard on finding me a driver. I have no doubt that what she said is true as companies try to make their customers happy. However, I believe that Anthony seriously underbid the job and no driver was going to haul my load. Day 9 and 10 I have left repeated calls to Danielle at extension 106 with zero calls back. Based on other reviews I have read, I don't believe they have any intention of giving me my deposit back. I left one final message for Danielle and Anthony that I would be going through me credit card company to file a claim and post on message boards what happened to me. You would think they would call me back on that one just to avoid the bad press. Nope here I am writing. Be careful with this group. If you use them don't use extension 106.
