Have been trying to contact this company for the past 2 weeks regarding an error in billing.
No one answers any of their three business lines, did they get CLOSED DOWN?

My salesman was very helpful in finding my vehicle, but like another user on this site, he overcharged the me once my car was on the truck. Therefore, the truck driver gets to your house and then asks for $50 more than the price you had agreed with the salesman.

My original quote was for $550 and this was confirmed several times with Art, my salesman.
The truck driver loads my truck and delivers it, showing up and asking for $600. When I told him that this was wrong, he said I needed to either pay the full price or he leaves with my car.

When calling State By State Transporters, the customer service rep told me I should just pay the full $600. When I complained, he told me I was a liar and that I had been quoted $600 originally. When I offered him proof through email of my price, he told me that he couldn't even see my file or the actual price I was quoted, and that I needed to wait until his manager or my salesperson got in.

Manager/Owner Max was supposed to call me, but he never did. I spoke to a manager who said that they had let my salesman Art go because he had done this to "millions of other customers" .

When I asked for the difference of money back, he told me that he had already corrected his mistake by firing Art. He would not refund me the $50 I had been scammed out of by his employee. Firing the employee might be the right thing to do, but it does nothing to repay me or the previous customers that were duped by your business.

An employee of a business is hired as a representative of that business, and his employer is liable for his actions during work. State by State Transporters should refund me for falsely advertising and confirming a price, and raising that price after my car had been loaded so I had no choice but to cough up the cash .

In their emails they claim that other companies partake in bait-and-switch sales tactics. Well State by State Transporters, this is the DEFINITION of bait-and-switch sales.

I will be taking this to the Better Business Bureau since no one appears to be working at this company and none of their phone lines are being answered.

Buddy you have the wrong company! And TransportReviews, well whoever is running this show, knows that a customer has to prove that they are a customer by showing a billing statement or signed contract from the company who is doing business but some way, we think Transportreviews received some type of compensation. THERE IS NO WAY that this review should be posted. It shows that some people do not like the minority businesses to prosper. How much did another company pay you guys to post this review? The email below shows the response from AGNES, who works with transportreviews. Think about it. an email from a gmail account?? Any one can make up a GMAIL ACCOUNT. The documentation provided was an email between art.sbstransporters@gmail.com and sehteshami6@gmail.com. The information received validates the reviewer's status as a customer. A carrier, at this point, has only these options: Option 1: The company can reply to the review directly. Option 2: Contact the reviewer requesting the reviewer to modify or delete the posting. To do so, "click" on the reviewer's name and the site will direct you to a response area. If you feel we have made a mistake you can describe to us why or contact the customer directly to figure things out. The customer is ultimately responsible for what they say and in these cases the customer is the only one that may request the removal of the review.
