I WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!! State By State was the first company to contact us and Teddy seemed genuinely interested in providing good service. HOWEVER, he made promises regarding pick-up and drop-off dates that he obviously could NOT KEEP, and we were assigned to an absolutely horrible transporter- C&K LOGISTICS out of Torrance, CA. The driver seemed totally unconcerned that he was late both picking up and dropping off the car. No matter what broker you use I would NOT ACCEPT C&K AS THE TRANSPORTER. The driver even told me that he had 7-10 days to deliver the vehicle to CA after pick-up, which would have the car delivered 6 days after the delivery date stated on the dispatch. OF COURSE the paperwork states ESTIMATED regarding all of their dates, which protects them- and the consumer is left waiting and waiting while they do who-knows-what with your vehicle. The driver even charged us an additional $50 for having suitcases in the car that we were told were acceptable! This fiasco left us in a situation that ended up costing a lot more money for us in car rental fees!!!!! After State by State got their $100 there was no more contact initiated by them. I told Teddy I would write a raving review of their service if they had the car transported in the manner he described- unfortunately that DID NOT HAPPEN. Also, unfortunately, as a consumer you have to trust the word of the Broker Agent- and in my experience the Broker Agent is not motivated to provide quality service after they have received their "cut"- which is paid upfront, of course. I WOULD NOT USE STATE BY STATE NOR C&K LOGISTICS. Your experience is much more dependent on the transporter than the Broker. Insist on talking to the transporter before you pay the Broker their up-front fee!!!!
