Transport of Honda Accord from CT to CA

I had a good experience with Specialty Systems, getting a Honda shipped from CT to southern CA. At their office, Dee was quite knowledgeable and took time to answer all of my questions. I was particularly concerned about damage, and she honestly discussed the risks. She told me that after crossing the country in an open carrier, the car would be dirty. She advised me to accept delivery in daylight and to clean the car off in order to check its condition before signing the receipt. She told me the odometer reading might be slightly higher on delivery than on pickup, just enough to move the car between trucks if necessary. She said that Specialty could track the car on request, but I did not use this service. Tasha told me that my job had been contracted to Poineer Auto Express, and said that they are a reputable carrier who ship cars daily to southern CA. The best effort delivery time was 10 days, but there was no guarantee: bad weather or other problems could make delivery late.

My parents trasnferred the car to Pioneer in CT. They said that the driver was courteous and very business-like. He would carry the car all the way accross the country. I was hoping to take delivery from the same driver, but it was dropped off at a holding facility in Southern CA and brought to me the following day. Delivery was a little earlier than estimated. As predicted, the car was dirty, but there was no damage that I could detect.
